Tucker Time a veterinary preparation
“Tucker Time is more than just another pet food and can be termed a veterinary preparation due to its high digestibility and the added ingredients”. Dr Robert B Macpherson BVSc MVSt
“Tucker Time nutritional preparations are commonly prescribed as such and are continuously recommended by veterinarians across Australia and this in fact is professional “prescribing” of the Tucker Time preparations and are dispensed to the relevant pet when the animal has a particular problem or is to be fed a maintenance feed to prevent the reoccurrence of a particular problem or complication”. Peter Burton M.P.S.Ph.C.
Possibly the most important ingredients used in Tucker Time are Naturebac®, Natursac® and Naturezyme®. These three ingredients establish Tucker Time pet food preparations as one of the most cost effective and digestive illness preventative preparations for your pet – all this is provided simply by feeding your cat or dog Tucker Time.
Naturebac® is a naturally grown herbaceous ingredient which physically cleanses the lining of the gut and large intestine upon ingestion. It is not a chemical and is not absorbed into your pet’s system however, it remains within the bowel, removing years of residual debris from the small “fingers” of the large intestine called the villi. It reduces the foul smells from rotting and fermenting excreta and massively aids the absorption of the micro-nutrients available to your pet from the quality preparations of Tucker Time Pet Food. The result is a happier and healthier animal which consumes far less food, therefore forming smaller and more naturally consistent stools with far less smell.
Natursac ® (FOS) by increasing the lactobacillus and bifidobacteria the diseases prevented in monogastrics are:
- Increases digestion from active enzymes, lipase, protease, lactase.
- Improves gastro-intestinal health by maintaining optimum microbial balance
- Reduces serum cholesterol therefore reduces heart stress
- Reduces incidents of lactose intolerance
- Reduces urinary and vaginal infections
- Possesses greater potential as an anti-carcinogenic agent
- Alleviates dermatological disorders
- Reduces blood pressure
- Reduces scours
- Assistants in the reduction of blood glusoces in diabetic animals
Naturezyme® consists of a live yeast culture, which provides active enzymes from a cell known scientifically as saccharomyces cerevisiae. These cells have many beneficial health attributes, such as increasing milk fat and milk production in lactating females and weight stabilization in undernourished animals. Naturezyme® also assists with improving coat and body condition of your pet
As previously stated, Tucker Time uses only the highest quality ingredients in all our pet foods. It has a meat content of 70% which is sourced from chicken, beef and lamb (all from human consumption abattoirs) and uses cereals from rice, potato and arrowroot. Additionally, Tucker Time now also includes glucosamine and chondroitin to help combat osteoarthritis in older pets.
Other ingredients beneficial to your pets include:
- Glucosamine is a naturally occurring enzyme which promotes healthy joints and connective tissues, maintaining the integrity of joints assisting in wound healing, strengthening the collagen fibres thereby reducing the pain associated with osteoarthritis. Pets produce a certain amount of glucosamine within their bodies however, with age, this glucosamine production diminishes, causing the cartilage in weight bearing joints to weaken and then harden, possibly leading to painful bone spurs, deformed joints, limited joint movement and limping. For over 20 years, glucosamine has been clinically proven to slow the progression of osteoarthritis and ease joint pain associated with osteoarthritis. Glucosamine also appears to inhibit the production chondrocytes, the enzymes that breakdown and destroy cartilage.
- Omega-3 balance together with extra Vitamin E assists in the treatment of renal failure, lowering both LDL and HDL cholesterol, reducing blood viscosity and clots, increases reproduction and improves muscle tone and reduces dystrophy.
- Biotin (Vitamin H) is added to the formula of Tucker Time products for the specific purpose of rebuilding the natural microbial synthesis of Biotin in animals that have received antibiotic treatments for the ailments such as dry scaly skin, alopecia and dry secretions of the nose eyes, mouth and feet. Biotin is a registered veterinary preparation and Tucker Time incorporates this in all their preparations at the necessary levels to attain treatment and correct human error and/or omission.
Ultimately, when your pet eats Tucker Time, they will consume less food, you will save money and your happier and healthier pet will stop producing obnoxious wind and faecal odours in your home and garden.
